Garden care through the Adelaide year

Gardens on the plains and in the Hills need different things at different times. The Hills are cooler, wetter and prone to frost, while the plains dry out fast from December. We plan your visits around both.

Spring

September to November

Feeding, mulching and more frequent mowing as growth takes off. A good time to tidy up dry growth ahead of the fire danger season.

Summer

December to February

Lighter trims, checking irrigation is reaching the roots, and helping plants through heatwaves.

Autumn

March to May

Clearing leaf fall in the Hills, renovating tired lawns and planting while the soil is still warm.

Winter

June to August

Pruning roses, fruit trees and deciduous shrubs, and keeping on top of weeds after the rain.

Common questions

Can't see your question here? Call us on 0400 000 000.

Which areas do you service?

We service all of metropolitan Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills, including Stirling, Aldgate, Hahndorf, Mount Barker, Woodside and Lobethal. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, give us a call and ask.

Do you do one-off clean-ups as well as regular maintenance?

Yes. Along with regular weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits, we do one-off clean-ups for overgrown gardens, rentals and homes going to market.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. Green waste is taken away as part of the job, unless you'd like us to leave clippings for your compost.

Do I need to be home when you visit?

No. As long as we can get into the garden, we can work while you're out and let you know when we've finished.

How much does garden maintenance cost?

It depends on the size of the garden, how often you'd like us to visit and what needs doing. We'll come out, have a look and give you a written quote at no cost.
